Module 1: What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is an increasingly common disease with serious complications that require careful management across a person’s life. Despite this there are few resources that help people with diabetes and their friends and family to understand the disease, its causes and the best strategies for managing symptoms. 3Dme collaborated with academic endocrinology subject matter experts to develop and endorse the content of this app which is suitable for patient education, undergraduate and health professional understanding of diabetes.

3Dme facilitates global health and education by creating high quality, engaging educational resources that inspire and challenge learners to understand complex ideas in simple and easy to use activities. 3Dme’s Diabetes Education Games explore a number of different aspects of diabetes through immersive games and challenges.

This app includes a 6 minute 3D animation covering our first topic; What is Diabetes? as well as 5 games related to the subject material.

There is also an in app purchase option to download Diabetes Education Games module 2; Food Choices for People with Diabetes. This module also includes an 8 minute 3D animation and 5 games related to the subject material.
